Apply for Service
In order to apply for service with GCEC, the applicant will need to provide a valid driver’s license to the Cooperative. We will also need the applicant's social security number to run a credit check, as well as a lease agreement or proof of ownership of the residence. If you are already a member of the Cooperative and need to connect a new service, you will need to print, complete and submit to the Cooperative a Utility Service Application.
If you need to establish membership with the Cooperative and connect a new service, then you will need to print, complete and submit the Application for Membership and Utility Services.
Transfer Service
If you are transferring an active account into your name, the Cooperative requires a copy of a valid driver’s license for the applicant, as well as the applicant's social security number. You will also have to complete a Utility Service Application if you are already a member of the Cooperative, or an Application for Membership and Utility Services if you are not a member of the Cooperative.Disconnect Service
This can be done at any office location or over the phone. If requested over the phone, we will need to ask the member several questions to verify their account. Upon verification, we will disconnect service on your desired date. Lastly, we will need to have a forwarding address for your final billing statement, deposit refunds and future capital credit refunds.Downloads
